I had a weird dream last night. It was summer vacation (which it is IRL). I was 15 (I'm 12 IRL) and pregnant in the first trimester. My IRL boyfriend was the father (he was still 12 like he is IRL). I had a doctor's visit. Afterwards, I played a natural disaster survival game on Roblox. I won the first round, lost the second, and won the third. Then I had my second doctor's visit and my baby had come to term. I then started to worry. My parents would have to take care of the baby, and I'd eventually have to tell them me and my boyfriend were their parents. All the bleeding was also starting to get in the way of my schoolwork. I was considering getting an abortion. I then had a false awakening. I at first thought I was still pregnant, but I realized that was a dream. I was so relieved! Three months later school started. It was March (school starts August for me IRL). I was nervous. I then went to school. The vice principal looked like the vice principal at my old school. I went to class, but left for some reason and went fishing. After two hours, I caught two fish and then decided to go back. School still hadn't started. We then played a board game twice and I won both times. The next day we played hide and seek at a grocery store. It was more like tag, except the seekers eyes were closed. I won. The third day me, my dad, and my eldest sister went to school together because men at they A.A. meeting they went to kept wanting to date her (that's happening IRL). They dropped me off at school and then went to the meeting. It was at a spaceship near the school. Then at the meeting, this weird thing happened three times where I needed to go to the restroom. That was coincidentally what needed to happen to save everyone from the spaceship. I succeeded all three times. I was then watching Steven Universe, but the plot was completely different. Steven and Amythest we're at the pool, trying to rescue this other Amythest. Then I went to this restaurant. This dude said "Three orders here. COME ON!!!" In the same voice as Fry's 20th century boss from Futurama. And then this really weird, hard-to-describe thing happened where the chef was going to cook this shrimp-like dude, but the chef then saw his parents (who were also shrimp-like) and decided to stop. That was the end of the dream.
Dreams can be intricate and multifaceted, often weaving together elements from our waking life, subconscious thoughts, and imagination. Let's delve into the various components of your dream:
Summer Vacation & Age Change: The setting of summer vacation aligns with your current reality, providing a familiar backdrop which can represent freedom and a break from responsibilities. Being 15 in the dream, as opposed to your actual age of 12, may symbolize a desire to grow up quickly or to take on more mature roles and responsibilities sooner than you are comfortable with, possibly reflecting the transition period of early adolescence.
Pregnancy and Relationship Dynamics: Pregnancy in dreams can be a metaphor for new beginnings, creativity, or developing a new aspect of one's self. Considering your boyfriend is still 12, this juxtaposition suggests feelings of innocence conflicting with mature situations. The fact that you were contemplating responsibilities and the impact on your schoolwork reflects subconscious concerns about managing future responsibilities or fears about repercussions from actions you don’t fully understand yet.
Playing Roblox & Winning/ Losing: Playing a game with rounds that you win and lose might symbolize navigating the challenges and unpredictability of early adolescence, where some situations feel victorious while others less so. It also represents trial and error in handling new stages of personal growth or learning experiences.
False Awakening & Relief: Experiencing a false awakening signifies a reassertion of reality over the dream. Your relief upon realizing it was just a dream indicates a subconscious acknowledgment that the pressures you felt (like pregnancy) are not present in your waking life, but maybe feelings of anxiety or fear over perceived future responsibilities are real.
Disjointed School Time: School represents learning and personal development. Starting school in March, an odd time for you, highlights feelings of being out of sync or dealing with pressures that aren’t typical. It could also suggest anticipation or anxiety about new academic experiences.
Fishing & Victory in School Games: Fishing symbolizes patience, intuition, and rewards that require time. Returning to school after fishing and winning games suggests success through persistence and learning to navigate the social aspects of school life, where you have time to prepare and strategize.
Family Dynamics & AA Meeting: The scenario with your family reflects real-life concerns about family influence and the everyday dynamics you witness. The meeting occurring in a spaceship indicates a desire for escape or dealing with matters that are otherworldly or unusual, possibly reflecting changes in family relationships you're perceiving as you grow.
Saving People from a Spaceship: Your repeated interventions to save people from the spaceship may highlight feelings of wanting to be helpful or important in others’ lives, perhaps indicating you feel responsibility in unusual circumstances or a hero narrative in your subconscious.
Steven Universe and Different Plot: Incorporating a familiar TV show with a completely different storyline suggests utilizing known contexts to explore new ideas or emotions. This might relate to your growth and the adaptation necessary in transitioning phases of your life.
Futurama Boss & Shrimp-like Characters: This scene appears deeply symbolic of recognizing authority or pressures (the boss’s shout) and empathy (the chef sparing the shrimp-like character), reflecting complex emotions about authority figures and compassion.
Overall, this vivid dream appears to combine elements of your reality with imaginative scenarios to process complex feelings of growing up, taking responsibility, and navigating family and school dynamics. While some themes might reflect anxiety or confusion due to changes and expectations, others highlight your ability to overcome challenges and find relief in recognizing that some concerns remain in the dream world.
